Enter a universe beyond the world of Warcraft... our own.

Quick Start Guide
WoWGo uses almost the same game mechanics as World of Warcraft, therefore this quick start guide will skip all the character creation and class explanations and only describe the things that are different or important to the playing of WoWGo. Below you will find quick jumps to your sections of interest, but if you are new to WoWGo we suggest you take to time to carefully read through it all.
Getting Started
Logging on
Once you have registered your WoW account to incorporate WoWGo, use this account to log into WoWGo. Tap the WoWGo icon on your iPhone to launch the game, then at the title screen type in your WoW account name and password then tap login. If you have attained an account via other alternative methods, use it to login.
Choosing a realm
If this is your first time logging into WoWGo, you will be prompted to choose a realm or server. Each server will have two types, a PVP and a casual server, and you can choose either depending on what you wish to do, but you are able to switch freely between the two, and your character is not bound by this choice.(see PVP Combat for more about PVP servers). You are suggested to choose the server of your city, state or country (depending how many there are), alternatively you can choose autoselect. This option will choose the server with a geostationary satellite closest to your location. Like WoW only players in the same realm can compete with each other. But different to WoW, the GPS signal and area maps will be limited outside of your servers coverage. Once a realm is chosen choose one of your WoW characters to bind it to that server. (Warning: only one server can be bounded to a character so choose carefuly.)
Interface
The first thing you may notice is the lack of a comprehensive interface, this is as a result of the lack of screen real estate on the iPhone. However to compensate for this WoWGo uses interface sets, where when exploring, one iterface setting is displayed (removing irrelavent icons), and the other a battle interface (supplying the screen with more spells and an actionbar). Both of these sets however can be customized to the players content, whether they want bigger or more actionbar squares, or, little or less to make room for visual features like animated avatars and battle camera, is purely up to the user. (more on UI customization here)
Setting up Home and Preferences
One of the features of WoWGo is the ability to detect your location. In Menu>'Misc Settings' you are able set your Home location using the map, and can set WoWGo to login automatically and run in the background when you leave the area of your home (10m radius). WoWGo can also be set to log off automatically when it detects you are at home or Logged onto WoW. These settings are entirely up to the you and you can choose to disable them. Home is also where you can revive your body if you die during PVP.
Alerts
There are alerts for when you are invited to battle, when you find an item, or when you receive a message. All these alerts can be silenced removed or even increased in volume and intensity. All settings are up to the user and there are default settings which sync with your iPhones current status (silent, indoor, outdoor, conference etc).
Beggining your WoWGo adventure
Exploring
When you are logged into WoWGo you are able to and are encouraged explore our beautiful world through Quests and incentives. The further distance you travel from home at any one time u are logged in and dont log off, you will start to find rarer and rarer items, just by walking around.
Social Networking
WoWGo has a unique contact list that lets synchronizes with your iPhone as well as your WoW friends list. When detected that these friends also play WoWGo on your realm, then you have the option to promote them as a WoWGo friend. If you don't, you can still chat message them through WoWGo. Becoming a WoWGo friend gives the ability for you as well as your friend to view each others locations in the world as well as be able to call via WoWGo and do all the regular interactions (messaging, trading, and viewing character stats). You will still be able to chat with friends from WoW but a notification will be displayed to them that you are logged into Earth not Azeroth
Quests
Quests in WoWGo are not the same as WoW quests and are not shared. In WoWGo some quests invlove visiting certain locations, finding certain items in a given location, battling a number of players, finding and photographing objects or iconic buildings and things surrounding that nature. Quests will be automatically generated into your quest log once you complete 1. Five quests can be stored at any 1 time, but they can be ignored if you dislike the quest.
Items in WoWGo
Items are an important aspect of WoWGo, mainly because playing in the Earth environment results in finding new and rare items not currently found in WoW. However this is not to say that these items cannot be used in WoW, most items in WoWGo will be transferrable to WoW as long as it is stored in the same character used. When walking around you will find common items of both games, but the further you walk the greater the chance of finding rarer and more powerful items. Some Items can also only be found in certain areas such as iconic cities or landmarks. Example scenario, a player goes to the Sydney Taronga Zoo and there he can find items like hide and leather. Another player heads to paris where he finds "the Great Eiffel Sword of Enchantment" which he needs for one of his quests.
Player versus Player Combat
You can only challenge players within your area i.e. people you can see on your map. To challenge someone someone to a duel, rotate your iPhone so you can view your map, then zoom in and select a player around you whome you want to verse, then tap their icon and select 'Challenge to duel'.
In WoWGo a comfortable interface is important and being able to access your major spells in combat is essential to victory. Make use of your User Interface Customization to get the most comfortable UI that suits you. During PVP players who have pets will only be able to view their vitals but can still control them the same way as WoW.
PVP realms are good for increasing your experience when you are on the 'Go' and also add another level of competition. When in a PVP server, if you are defeated in combat you can no longer play WoWGo until you revive yourself from your Home. However if you are victorious in PVP realms, then you will receive both experience and items.
Cusomizing your User Interface
Customizing your interface in WoWGo is important because of the lack of real-estate on the iPhone. Efficient players would have found what styles of interface they like and adjust until perfect. In WoWGo almost everything can be set to visible or hide. When hidden real-estate points increase, and other items lik more actionbar slots or bag slots (max 5) can be added. Extra features like avatar battle animations or camera views can be added when there is more real-estate points. Showing more items will limit the space available for certain things to be viewed. You will be able to setup different styles of Interface for your exploring UI set and combat UI set
