Dr. Xiangyu Wang, Lecturer at University of Sydney, follows a straight-lane along his academia career development and obtained his Ph.D. degree and first academic faculty position when he was 26 years old. He has been fortunate to live and visit 8 countries/areas in the world including Hong Kong, Australia, Korea, China, Mexico, Canada, Swiss, and USA (most large cities). He obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2005 from School of Civil Engineering at Purdue Univ. In early 2006, he joined the Key Centre of Design Computing and Cognition, Faculty of Architecture, Design & Planning at University of Sydney as a Lecturer/Assistant Professor.

 

Dr. Wang has broad research background across construction, design, computer engineering, and human factors. He has published close to 100 technical publications in a wide range of books, international journals and conferences. He also regularly reviews articles for over 20 international journals and sits on the committee for over 25 international research conference.  Dr. Wang is now supervising several Ph.D. students and working with two visiting scholars.
